Recommended MX Boots

Im looking for some good and comfortable semi-flexible MX/ off-road boots for long trail ridding. I haven't owned a pair in a long time and Im looking for some black boots with white and or red in the $100- $200 range.
What do you recommend and where? I went by Honda of Houston and was very disappointed with their selection.

looking for a new helmet

i have a cl-17 victory right now. its an ok helmet, but when you close the visor all the way, it whistles, and i hate that. i'm thinking for my next lid, i want something with a drop down visor and maybe modular. i also like the looks of adv helmets. the icon variant has always been a cool looking design to me. scorpion has a nice looking modular adv with a drop down visor called the exo-at950 that wont break the bank. i'm thinking about getting that.

since it's not out yet, i'm guessing nobody has any rider feedback with one.
if anyone does have some input on adv helmets with bells and whistles, i'd like to hear about it.

Inexpensive kids/teenagers gear?

I've got kids:
10 yr old daughter
14 yr old daughter
16 yr old son

I'm needing some gear that the oldest could share to ride with me (Helmet, jacket and gloves)

Used would be fine. But would be willing to buy new from a sponsor or online.

Scorpion Helmets in Houston?

Does anyone know of a dealer or gear shop in Houston that carries Scorpion helmets in-store?

Specifically, I'm looking for the new EXO-AT950 modular ADV helmet. I know I can get one nearly anywhere on-line, but I'd really like to try one on first to get the sizing and fit right. Plus, I like to support local brick-and-mortar businesses whenever possible.

So far, I've checked at Cycle Gear, Wild West Motoplex, and Motorcycles Unlimited and none carry Scorpion in-store.

Anyway, if anyone has seen or knows of who might have them around town, I'd appreciate a heads-up.

Thanks!

Can't find a jacket that fits!

I had to have tried on fifty different jackets and I just can't find a good fit.I am 5'11", 115lbs, female. Tall and thin as a rail. I need a women's jacket because anything without back/side straps is just too big around the waist. Problems I'm running into are that the collar is in my throat choking me on most of the jackets I tried, and they're just too big. Even most small's are too baggy, but an x-small is too short in the sleeves. Anyone have any suggestions?

grip warmers?

yesterday i installed some trackside grip warmers. essentially it's 2 stickers that go under the grips, and a 3 way switch for high, off, and low. i hooked it into the positive for the headlight and it doesnt seem to be getting any power.

electrical work is my worst stuff. i hate wiring. in all of the projects i have done (on the good bikes as well at the basket cases) wiring is always held off until the very end, for as long as i can procrastinate it.

has anyone else used the trackside warmers? i'm pretty sure everything is done correctly. i get nothing at all from them.

should i just get some new grip warmers? are the trackside ones just trash?

if i replace them, i'm going with these. looks like a lot less work to get these on. pretty much just wire it into some power and everything else snaps in place.

What helmet out there rocks the most comfortable chin strap? Probably the only thing that bothers me about wearing a helmet. Thought I'd ask before resorting to to my usual first pick for lid HJC.

Anybody use this AC unit when camping?

Glove liners?

0
0
Since we don't really have winter winter here, does anyone have any input on glove liners?

I'm kinda disappointed on the level of protection most winter gloves have at a decent price, I'm not buying a $150 glove to wear 4 days a year. I already have good gloves, but they got holes all through them.
